Youth Learn How to Wrap a Horse’s Leg at 4-H Winter Round-Up Event

The Oswego County 4-H Program is hosting a Winter Round-Up event from February 7th to February 9th at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center. This event is open to youth aged eight and older who are interested in learning about horses and participating in equine-related activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with fellow equestrians from Oswego County and beyond, although no horses will be present at the event.

Participants will stay overnight in the Center’s dormitory and must bring their own chaperone. The cost for each youth is $40.00, while chaperones are $18.00. Fees cover meals, snacks, handouts, hands-on items, and enrollment into the Oswego County 4-H Program. Registration and fees are due by January 31, 2025, with no refunds issued after that date. After registration, a confirmation letter with detailed information and a permission slip will be sent to participants.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County is committed to providing equal program and employment opportunities and values diversity. Those with special needs are encouraged to contact the office for assistance. More information about the Winter Round-Up event and other activities can be found by scanning the QR code provided or visiting the website.
