Wesleyan College Pauses Equestrian Program in Search of New Operator

Wesleyan College has put its equestrian program on hold as it searches for a new operator for its equestrian center, a program that has been a part of the college’s history since the 1920s. The school is actively looking for a lessee to take over operations and continue using the space for its intended purpose, with the goal of finding an operator who cares for the space as much as the community does.

The decision to find a new lessee for the equestrian center was not due to any misconduct or misuse of the facility by individuals or groups. Wesleyan College expressed gratitude for the dedication and accomplishments of its equestrian community over the years and is committed to supporting boarders and students through the transition. The school remains hopeful that the equestrian program will one day return to campus.

Wesleyan College has not yet identified a potential lessee for the equestrian center but plans to go to market and work to find an operator who can continue the program’s legacy. The college emphasized the importance of finding someone who values the space and its purpose, ensuring that the equestrian program can thrive once again in the future.
