Actor Vicky Kaushal’s performance as Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the historical drama Chhaava is receiving praise from viewers for his dedication to the role. A making video shared by the actor and the film’s production house, Maddock Films, revealed that Vicky underwent a six-month-long training process to prepare for the character, including rigorous action sequences and horse riding.

Vicky Kaushal shared that his training for the role involved 6-8 hours of daily sessions, including horse riding, weapon training, and action training. The intense training sessions brought discipline into his life that was previously lacking. The video also showed Vicky training in the gym with makeup on his body and rehearsing action sequences in full costume to embody the character of Chhaava.

Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar, has been performing well at the box office since its release on February 14, surpassing the Rs 150 crore mark within five days and earning Rs 165 crore. The historical drama also features a strong performance by Akshaye Khanna and stars Ashutosh Rana, Vineet Kumar, Rashmika Mandanna, and Neil Bhoopalam.
