Vermont 4-H Horse Members Enjoy Winter Horse Camp at Champlain Valley Exposition

Vermont 4-H horse members participated in the 4-H Winter Horse Camp at the Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction. The event, which took place on January 3-4, was hosted by Chittenden County 4-H and attracted thirty-one horse enthusiasts from five counties. Participants from Franklin County included Lochlan Bertrand, Mason Medor, Julie Merlo, Kinzi Grindle, Avery Minor, Claire Romano, and Lilyana Peet.

The Winter Horse Camp was designed to provide a fun experience for 4-H members without the presence of actual horses. The event was open to 4-H’ers from throughout the state and offered various activities and workshops related to horse care and management. Despite the lack of horses, participants were able to engage in educational and interactive sessions during the two-day event.

The camp was a great opportunity for young horse enthusiasts to come together, learn new skills, and connect with others who share their passion for horses. By bringing together 4-H members from different counties, the Winter Horse Camp provided a valuable learning experience and a chance for participants to expand their knowledge and network within the equestrian community.
