Wilton Riding for the Disabled Association (Wilton RDA) offers horse riding opportunities for disabled individuals to improve their health and well-being. Unfortunately, one of their beloved horses, Puzzle, recently passed away from colic, leaving a gap in their program for adult riders who require riding for balance and muscle strength.
Jackie Worrall, the chair of trustees at Wilton RDA, expressed the heartbreak felt by riders and volunteers over Puzzle’s death. Puzzle was known for his gentle nature and ability to carry adult or heavier riders, making him a valuable asset to the organization. Without Puzzle, Wilton RDA may have to limit the number of adult riders they can accommodate.
As a registered charity, Wilton RDA relies on voluntary help and donations to continue providing riding opportunities to disabled individuals in the local area. They are urgently seeking a replacement horse to fill the void left by Puzzle’s passing. Those interested in helping can contact the charity via email at [email protected] or by phone at 01722 744822.
