The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association is hosting a breeding clinic on May 30-31 in Lexington, where attendees will have the opportunity to learn about various topics related to the breeding side of the Thoroughbred industry from experts in the field at four Central Kentucky farms and a veterinary clinic.
The clinic will feature tours of Airdrie Stud, Shamrock Glen Farm, Resolute Racing, Magdalena Farm, and Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, covering topics such as matings and stallion conformation, mare management, foal care, broodmare evaluation, and yearling prep for sales. Additional speakers and topics will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
The TOBA breeding clinic and other educational seminars are designed for individuals at all levels of education in the industry, from prospective or new owners and breeders to experienced professionals looking to further their knowledge. Registration is available online until May 23, with discounts for TOBA members, and includes meals, materials, and a TOBA gift bag.
