Turkmenistan is celebrating its National Holiday of the Turkmen Horse on April 27, with large-scale events planned throughout the country. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Tangryguly Atahalliyev, announced these festivities during a government meeting, highlighting the significance of the occasion.
As part of the celebrations, the 17th international scientific conference titled “Turkmen Horse and World Art of Horse Breeding” took place on April 25 at the Aba Annaev International Horse Breeding Academy. Additionally, the final round of the international beauty contest “The Most Beautiful Akhal-Teke Horse of the Year” is scheduled for today, followed by horse racing at the International Ahal-Teke Equestrian Sports Complex tomorrow.
In conjunction with the holiday preparations, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of advancing the agricultural sector. He reported on the ongoing seasonal agricultural activities, including cotton sowing and the care of wheat and spring crops, urging strict oversight to ensure the success of both agricultural efforts and the Turkmen Horse Festival events.
