Therapeutic Horse-Riding Gala Fundraiser at Tōtara Park Riding for the Disabled

Tōtara Park Riding for the Disabled, the only internationally-affiliated therapeutic horse-riding provider in New Zealand, is hosting a fundraising gala at Riverhaven Artland sculpture park in Clevedon on March 30. The event will include live music, food trucks, face painting, and pony rides, with tickets priced at $30 for adults, $15 for students, and free for children under five. The charity aims to provide accessible and meaningful riding experiences that build emotional and physical strength for riders with disabilities or specific challenges.

The fundraiser will support Tōtara Park Riding for the Disabled’s mission to improve health and well-being outcomes for individuals with disabilities through interaction with horses. The charity, which receives minimal government support, relies on philanthropic and community donations to continue its programs. Attendees at the gala will have the opportunity to explore the sculpture park, meet horses from the riding program, and enjoy a picnic under the trees while supporting a good cause.

In addition to purchasing tickets for the event, individuals and businesses can further support Tōtara Park Riding for the Disabled by donating for the naming rights on a sculpture, starting at $250. Donors will be acknowledged in the charity’s publications, pamphlets, and social media. Tickets for the fundraising event can be purchased online through Eventbrite or the charity’s website, with all funds raised going directly to support the therapeutic horse-riding programs provided by Tōtara Park Riding for the Disabled.
