The Idaho Horse Expo at the Ford Idaho Center is the largest event of its kind in Idaho, running Friday through Sunday. Tickets cost $15 for adults and children 12 and under get in free. The event features clinics, demonstrations, shows, vendors, and organizations like the Idaho Sidesaddle Association.
The Idaho Sidesaddle Association showcased western heritage and culture at the expo, featuring a mule named Roxy, an American Blazer Horse, a miniature horse, and wild horses and burros from the Bureau of Land Management. 4H children showcased the abilities of these horses in an effort to get them adopted. Breakaway roping clinics were also featured, with young participants practicing their roping skills.
Friday’s main event is Fiesta Night with Escaramuza, a Mariachi band, and Spanish breeds. Saturday evening will feature a variety show. The expo offers something for everyone, with opportunities to learn, watch demonstrations, and enjoy the various events and shows.
