Texas Cowboy Who Rescued Horses from Wildfires to Stand Trial for Sexual Abuse of Teen

William Molinar, a cowboy from Texas who helped rescue horses and support firefighters during the Ruidoso wildfires, is set to go to trial in August for allegedly sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl in El Paso in 2016. The abuse reportedly occurred over a span of seven months, with Molinar accused of forcing the teen to have vaginal sexual intercourse.

According to the arrest affidavit, Molinar, who was a friend of the victim’s mother, started the abuse by holding hands with the teen and then progressed to forcefully kissing her, oral sex, and eventually vaginal sexual intercourse. The victim reported that Molinar would drive her home and force her to have sex during these rides.

Despite his alleged actions, Molinar was known for his efforts during the Ruidoso wildfires, where he helped rescue horses and support firefighters by handing out drinks and wrangling horses out of danger. His trial is scheduled to begin on August 9, where he will face charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
