Sydney Elliott and Sharon White Elected as Team USA Athlete Representatives

Sydney Elliott and Sharon White were elected as the USAAC representative and Alternate USAAC representative, respectively, to serve on the US Equestrian Board of Directors as Athlete Representatives from January 2025 to 2029. Both athletes have represented the U.S. on the international stage as part of the U.S. Eventing Team. They will be responsible for broadening communication between the USOPC and active athletes and providing input and advice to the USOPC board of directors.

During the election process, four athletes self-nominated for the roles, with Elliott receiving the most votes to become the Team USA AC representative and White being elected as the Alternate representative. They will succeed Alison Brock and Lauren Nicholson in their roles. Both Brock and Nicholson have served honorably in their positions and brought valuable insight to discussions within the US Equestrian Board of Directors.

Elliott and White will join five other athletes currently serving on the US Equestrian Board of Directors as Athlete Representatives. These representatives cover a range of equestrian disciplines, including Combined Driving, Para-Equestrian, Eventing, Jumping, and Endurance. The Team USA AC, formerly known as the USOPC Athletes’ Advisory Council, plays a crucial role in representing the voice of Team USA athletes and providing input to the USOPC board of directors.
