Susan Simpson Takes the Reins as President of Chatham-Kent 4-H Association

Susan Simpson, a long-time member of the Chatham-Kent 4-H Association, has taken on the role of president in February. With experience in various 4-H clubs such as dairy, beef, goats, and more, Simpson is passionate about connecting with kids and building relationships within the organization.

As the new president, Simpson hopes to increase membership after a decline during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, there are 130 members between the ages of six and 21, with activities ranging from building bird houses to public speaking lessons. The annual fee of $110 allows members to participate in any club they choose.

Simpson encourages those interested in joining to visit the Chatham-Kent 4-H Association’s website to learn more about the organization and the opportunities it offers for youth in the community.
