Survey Seeks Input on Wildlife Protection and Access in Kootenay Backcountry

The BC Ministry of Water, Lands and Resource Stewardship has released an online survey aimed at trail-riding equestrians in the Kootenay region to gather opinions on how they use roads and trails for outdoor activities and their thoughts on managing motorized and non-motorized access to protect wildlife and habitats.

Individual responses to the survey will be collected, rather than opinions of any associated groups. The survey is open until April 27th and is confidential, taking approximately 10 minutes to complete. Participants are encouraged to answer all questions.

The survey can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KootenayAccess and is seeking input from horseback riders who frequent the backcountry in the Kootenay region to provide insight into safety, access, and wildlife protection.
