Sunshine Coast RDA Hosts Successful Volunteer Orientation and Training Session

Sunshine Coast RDA recently held a volunteer orientation, induction, and training session with over 30 new volunteers attending on the first day. The volunteers had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the organization’s operations and roles they will play in supporting RDA’s activities. Existing volunteers also participated in extra training sessions, including practical sessions on the Masterson Method and saddle fitting.

Local media helped contribute to the strong turnout for the New Volunteer Orientation and Induction morning, where new volunteers were welcomed and existing members were updated on important procedures and skills. The event provided a chance for the RDA team to connect with volunteers and prepare for the upcoming season. Sunshine Coast RDA is excited to work with this dedicated group of volunteers as they prepare for the season ahead.

The practical training sessions during the orientation covered techniques for identifying a lame horse and included a hands-on saddle fitting demonstration. The event showcased advanced techniques in a practical setting, giving volunteers valuable skills and knowledge to support RDA’s activities. Sunshine Coast RDA is grateful for the support of their volunteers and looks forward to a successful season ahead.
