The Stonehill College Equestrian team placed fourth overall at the Bridgewater State/Babson Show, with three individuals qualifying for regional competition. Seniors Madeline Ahern and Emma Worster finished first and second in the open flat, respectively, and also placed in open fences. Sophomore Lauren Eager’s first-place finish in the limit flat also qualified her for regionals, along with first-year classmates Nora Fitzgerald and Shay Callanan.
First-year student Maddy Clark finished first in the Pre-novice division, while junior Rosalie Martin and first-year student Elizabeth Carreiro were among the top three finishers for the Skyhawks. Martin and Carreiro placed as runners-up in intermediate fences and limit flat, respectively, while Carissa Muller finished fifth in limit fences. The team will compete next at the Boston College/Wellesley Show on March 23 in Norfolk, Massachusetts.
Stonehill College Equestrian team had a successful showing at the Grand Champion Show Stables in Stoughton, Massachusetts, with multiple riders qualifying for regional competition. The team’s strong performances were highlighted by first and second-place finishes in the open flat by Worster and Ahern, as well as Eager’s first-place finish in the limit flat. The upcoming Boston College/Wellesley Show will be the next opportunity for the Skyhawks to showcase their skills and continue their success in competition.
