Zara Dow, a seven-year-old rider from Caledon, Ontario, is a rising star in the equestrian world. She can be found riding many ponies at her family farm, Crailin Stables, and at WEC venues. Zara’s favorite thing about riding is cantering, and she enjoys riding her ponies Petunia and Mr. Toffee, with whom she has had success in competitions.
Petunia and Mr. Toffee are Zara’s ponies, with Toffee being a bay pony that she can trot cross rails on. Zara recently showed Petunia at WEC – Ocala, where she won multiple first place ribbons. Zara’s favorite store at WEC is The Sugar Shack, where she enjoys getting sour candies. In the barn, Petunia is described as lazy and nicknamed Potato, while Toffee loves to eat anything when he’s hungry.
When not riding, Zara enjoys spending time in the jumping room at WEC with her friends and visiting the candy store. She also rides with her twin brother and enjoys being competitive with him. Zara’s big riding goal is to eventually jump on a horse and compete in the hunters. Despite her busy schedule with school and horse shows, Zara manages to keep up with her schoolwork with the help of her Nana, who brings curriculum books for her to work on at the shows.
