Spain’s Claudio Castilla Ruiz Secures First Big Tour Win with Jota das Figueiras

Claudio Castilla Ruiz of Spain won the CDI3* Grand Prix in Le Mans, France riding Jota das Figueiras, marking the Lusitano gelding’s first Big Tour victory. The 11-year-old horse began competing at the international Grand Prix level in 2023 and scored 68.935% in this competition. Anna Louise Ross of Great Britain came in second on her 13-year-old KWPN mare, Habouche, with a score of 68.696%. Kathleen Kröncke of Germany placed third on her 15-year-old Hanoverian mare, Uniteds Maerchen, with a score of 68.544%.

The judging panel for the CDI3* Grand Prix in Le Mans included Raphael Saleh, Elisabeth Max-Theurer, Hans Christian Matthiesen, Irina Maknami, and Maribel Alonso de Quinzanos.
