Simon Delestre and Cayman Jolly Jumper Triumph in Rolex Grand Prix at Indoor Brabant

Simon Delestre and Cayman Jolly Jumper won the Rolex Grand Prix at Indoor Brabant after a challenging course designed by Louis Konickx thinned the field with seven pairs retiring and others knocking down rails. Delestre was one of three combinations to make it to the jump-off, where he outran Yuri Mansur and Scott Brash to claim victory.

Mansur and Brash both had four faults in the jump-off, while Delestre took a slower but clear round to secure the win. Delestre praised his horse’s energy and power, as well as his cautious approach to the course.

The pressure was high for all three riders in the jump-off, with Brash noting the different kind of pressure that comes with knowing victory is within reach. Mansur also expressed the mix of pride and uncertainty that comes with being so close to winning. The competition highlighted the difficulty of securing three consecutive wins in the Rolex Grand Slam.
