Rising Stars Shine at 2025 Winter Dressage Championships

Rose Punchard and her horse Nemo won the medium silver class at the 2025 Petplan Winter Area Festival Championships with a score of 68.83%. Rose has been riding Nemo since September 2022 and credits him as the perfect mentor for her rise through the levels. The pair have qualified to compete internationally and were long-listed for the pony European Championships.

Samantha Jimmison and her horse Lillinghall Moment In Time won the Equi-Trek elementary silver at the NAF Five Star Winter dressage Championships with a score of 69.85%. This marked Samantha’s first national title in dressage, and she expressed gratitude for her horse and trainer, Caroline Saynor. Samantha, who usually produces young horses across all disciplines, found a special connection with dressage and enjoyed the competition experience.

Both Rose and Samantha expressed their surprise and joy at their victories, with Samantha admitting that she never thought someone like her could win a national title. The close-knit teams behind both riders’ successes were highlighted, with Samantha’s horse being bred by Olwyn and trained by her stable jockey and best friend, Jasmine Watson. The victories at these championships have provided both riders with a confidence boost and a sense of accomplishment.
