The Myanmar Traditional Horse Riding and International Equestrian Competitions were held to celebrate the 78th Union Day, with various equestrian events taking place at the Myanmar Equestrian Federation’s racecourse in Yangon. The competitions included races for different categories, show jumping competitions, traditional horse riding events, sword display competitions, and tent pegging. International equestrian segments featured competitions for different age groups, with over 100 equestrians from across Myanmar participating in the event.
The opening day of the competition saw Myanmar Equestrian Federation officials inaugurating the event by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. Riders fiercely competed in the equestrian race, showcasing their skills and determination. The event, held under the banner of the Union Banner Cup, featured a range of equestrian activities for both local and international participants.
The competitions included Children’s Show Jumping, Junior Show Jumping, Youth Show Jumping, Senior Show Jumping, and Cross-Country Open Class events for riders of different age groups. The event will continue until February 16th, with riders from various states and regions in Myanmar participating in the competition. The event aimed to promote traditional horse riding and equestrian sports while celebrating Union Day in Myanmar.
