Yasmin Sayyed founded Ride to Rescue, a sanctuary in Ras Al Khaimah dedicated to saving and rehabilitating abandoned and retired horses. During Ramadan, she offers groups the opportunity to hike through the mountains with these horses and enjoy a vegetarian or vegan iftar made from local produce. Yasmin’s deep connection with animals began in childhood and led her to a career in hospitality and fashion design before she found her true calling in rescuing horses.
Yasmin’s sanctuary is home to 29 horses, including retired endurance racers and abandoned animals in need of rehabilitation. She works tirelessly to ensure the horses receive the care they deserve, often facing challenges such as neglectful owners and financial strain. Yasmin believes in the healing power of horses and offers experiences like yoga sessions with the animals to promote well-being and connection.
In addition to her work with horses, Yasmin is a personal trainer, chef, counselor, and mentor. She welcomes visitors to join her in Ras Al Khaimah for a unique horseback adventure and offers opportunities to support her mission. Yasmin’s dedication to rescuing and caring for horses reflects her deep love for animals and her commitment to making a difference in their lives.
