The transition from the previous game, Zed Run, to Zed Champions has sparked controversy as NFTs from the former will not transfer over. VHS is offering a month-long window for players to claim rewards that will carry over to the new game. The company hopes to rebuild its success by focusing on competitive gaming rather than speculative NFT trading.

VHS is gathering player feedback during the beta test of Zed Champions, with plans to fully launch the game by April 2025. The company is also transitioning to Base, Coinbase’s Layer-2 blockchain, to provide a more stable infrastructure.
