Carrie Emerson, a Dinwiddie County woman, rescued a horse named Cinetico last summer to give him a better quality of life. Despite being in poor condition when she found him, Emerson showed him love and attention, bringing him back to health. When she rode him in the arena one day, Cinetico surprised everyone by striking a show stance, revealing his true potential.
After sending Cinetico’s DNA for testing, Emerson discovered that her rescue horse comes from a long line of champions in the Paso Fino show world. Originally named Cinetico De Vitral, he had won world and national titles and had almost 300 show points as a stallion. Emerson has been approached about selling Cinetico, but she has decided to train him for show competitions and hopes to bring him back to the arena soon.
Emerson’s story of rescuing Cinetico, who was missing since 2013, has captured the attention of the horse world. Despite facing challenges and being overlooked by other rescues, Emerson’s dedication to giving Cinetico a second chance has led to a remarkable discovery of his prestigious lineage and potential for success in show competitions.
