Remembering Leta C. Owens: A Life Well-Lived and Loved

Leta C. Owens, a resident of Columbia Falls, passed away at the age of 74 on April 2, 2025. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Leta enjoyed playing games, dancing, reading, and spending time with loved ones. She had a strong Christian faith and worked as a legal secretary for over 30 years in the Flathead Valley. Leta was survived by her former husband, children, grandchildren, and siblings.

No services are currently scheduled for Leta, with Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls caring for her family. She will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery. Leta was known for her love of Montana, hunting, horseback riding, and being a devoted mother and grandmother.

Leta’s passing was preceded by her parents, but she is survived by her former husband of 52 years, children Jason and Jonathan, grandchildren Michael, Ruby, and Trey, as well as her brothers Mike and Gary and sister Lynn. Leta’s fiery spirit and love for life will be remembered by all who knew her.
