Remembering Joseph Hancharik: A Life Well-Lived in Dunbar

Joseph Hancharik, 89, of Dunbar, passed away at home with his daughter Joyce by his side. He was born in 1935 in Star Junction and worked for Michael Burkowitz Company for 33 years, as well as at Laurel Mall in maintenance for six years. He enjoyed farming with his wife Mary Jane, showing horses with his daughters, and pitching baseball in his younger years.

Preceded in death by his wife, siblings, and son-in-law, Joe is survived by his children Barbara, Joyce, and Julie, as well as four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His family will receive friends at Blair-Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory in Perryopolis, with a funeral service to be held the following day. Interment will take place at Mt. Washington Cemetery in Perryopolis.
