Queen Camilla hosted a reception at Clarence House to celebrate the British Equestrian teams’ success at the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympic Games. Despite not being able to attend in person, she watched the events closely on television and expressed pride in the team’s achievements, stating that it brought tears to her eyes.
As the royal patron of the British Equestrian Federation, Queen Camilla met with athletes and their support staff at the reception, thanking them for their hard work and dedication. She was gifted a picture drawn by an equestrian’s daughter and promised to send a letter to the young girl.
In addition to the reception, Queen Camilla visited the Great Western Hospital in Swindon, where she gave birth to her daughter in 1978. She joked about her grandchildren being regular visitors to the hospital and praised the care provided by the staff.
