The Horse and Cattle Show 2025 in Punjab, themed “May Punjab Prosper Forever,” came to a close with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir in attendance. The event featured traditional performances, thrilling horse riding displays, and an exhibition kabaddi match. The show also included dancing camels, goats, buffaloes, and sheep, as well as performances by dancers from various regions.
The 16-day festival included a torch parade, musical performances by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Arif Lohar, and a fireworks display. International teams from Turkey, Dubai, Baku, Ukraine, and Ethiopia participated in various events, including Shandur Polo matches and a tent pegging competition. The festival also featured cultural nights, dairy animal competitions, a flower exhibition, and a variety of other attractions for families.
The event culminated in the Punjab Industries and Artisan Exhibition at the Expo Centre Lahore, showcasing industrial and artisanal crafts. The 2025 Horse and Cattle Show set a new attendance record, with hundreds of thousands of citizens participating in over 20 major events, making it one of the largest cultural celebrations in Punjab’s history.
