Aisha Schor, a Media Communications major, discussed her experience training and caring for her horses in Vermont. She has been riding horses since the second grade and owns two horses, Ginger and Starling. Starling is her favorite and she takes her out for rides more often.
Schor and Starling have competed in gymkhanas, winning first and second place ribbons in pattern racing and timed games. Schor is knowledgeable about horse care and feeds her horses twice a day in their family barn. She also makes time to brush their hair and take them riding at least once a week.
In addition to horseback riding, Schor also plays soccer on the MWCC intramural team. She encourages students to join in on a soccer game to meet new people on campus. Schor enjoys both sports and finds caring for horses to be similar to caring for other pets.
