Paul O’Shea Dominates $100,000 Dutta Corporation 1.45m FEI CSI2* Grand Prix at TerraNova Equestrian Center

The TerraNova Winter Series concluded with the $100,000 Dutta Corporation 1.45m FEI CSI2* Grand Prix at the Lakeside arena, where Paul O’Shea and Spy emerged victorious after producing two double-clear efforts in the jump-off. O’Shea’s performance put the pressure on early in the competition, ultimately securing the win and praising the challenging course set by Peter Holmes. Mario Deslauriers and Inside Of My Heart claimed the reserve position, with Darragh Kenny and Lightning rounding out the podium for Ireland.

In addition to the Grand Prix, rising stars competed in the $500 Horse Hub TerraNova 2’6″ Hunter Derby, where Brooke Cudmore and Ferry van den Hoogeweg took the top spot with a score of 86.00. Cudmore praised the facility and expressed excitement about bringing more young horses to compete in future events. The competition at the TerraNova Winter Series showcased a mix of international show jumping action and nationally-rated hunter, jumper, and equitation competition.

The event also featured awards presented to Erica Hatfield for the Owner’s Award and Sloane Coles for the Leading Lady Award. The TerraNova Winter Series concluded with national-level competitors taking the stage in the $20,000 KB Squared Construction 1.35m TerraNova Prix and various junior-amateur classics, highlighting the diverse range of talent at the event.
