Passionate Former Member Leads 4-H Equestrian Drill Team to State Fair Success

Destiny Bowman, a former member of the 4-H Equestrian Drill Team, has taken on the role of leader and organizer for the current team, which consists of 11 young riders between the ages of 9 and 15. Bowman emphasizes the importance of teamwork and dedication in preparing for their performances, which require intricate routines and synchronized maneuvers. The team will be showcasing their skills at the West Virginia State Fair on August 7, aiming to impress audiences with their hard work and passion for horseback riding.

Reflecting on her own experiences as a young rider, Bowman recalls the joy and camaraderie she felt while being a part of the team. She now takes on the responsibility of creating patterns and instructing the team, with the help of her assistant Crystal Rothgeb and the parents of the team members. Bowman acknowledges the support she receives and the dedication of everyone involved in making the team’s performances possible.
