Oklahoma Man Makes 271-Mile Journey on Horseback to the Gulf: A Story of Triumph and Perseverance

Sean Herren, a 35-year-old man from Oklahoma, is making a 271-mile journey on horseback from the Kansas/Oklahoma border to the Gulf. He recently made a pit stop in Lumberton, Texas during his trip. Herren believes he is following the path that God set before him, and he is proving to the world that there is “no odyssey without a storm.”

Herren was involved in a devastating accident as a child that nearly took his life, resulting in permanent injuries. Despite being told he could never ride a horse, Herren has raised two Tennessee Walker horses, Odyssey and Storm, and is now riding them across Oklahoma and Texas. He credits his faith and determination for his ability to overcome the challenges he faced.

After years of struggling with his injuries and contemplating ending his life, Herren is now achieving what others thought was impossible. He feels a sense of accomplishment and is looking forward to reaching his destination in Crystal Beach, Texas. Herren, Odyssey, and Storm expect to arrive in mid-January, and Herren’s plans after the journey are yet to be revealed.
