The final session of the under tack show for the Ocala Breeders’ Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training featured Hip 1053, an Irish-bred bay colt by No Nay Never who posted the fastest time of the session at a quarter mile in :20 2/5. The colt is a half brother to multiple group 3-placed Fixette and French stakes winner The Fixer.
Consignor Omar Ramirez, who was eagerly anticipating Hip 1053’s performance, was pleased with the colt’s showing and praised his talent and preparation for the sale. Ramirez highlighted the No Nay Never colt’s pedigree, which includes multiple group 1 winner Gallante, as a strong selling point for potential buyers.
In addition to Hip 1053, two other horses tied for the fastest eighth of a mile time at :09 4/5. One of these horses was Hip 1142, a dark bay or brown filly by Independence Hall, and the other was Hip 1206, a bay filly by Win Win Win. The OBS Spring sale is set to take place from April 15-18, with sessions beginning at 10:30 a.m. ET each day.
