A newly-established riding charity called Aim RDA is seeking volunteers to help with equine-assisted activities for disabled children and adults at two different centers. The charity, which is part of the Riding for the Disabled Association, has seen an increase in participants and is in need of more helping hands.
Volunteers can commit to 1-2 hours per week or fortnight on Friday mornings, Saturday afternoons, or Sunday afternoons at either the Shrivenham Equestrian Centre or Lambourn RDA’s center in Chilton Foliat. Prospective volunteers aged 14 and above are encouraged to email [email protected] to get involved. No prior experience with horses or disabled individuals is necessary as all training will be provided.
Volunteering with Aim RDA not only supports a local cause but also promotes personal wellbeing, fitness, and social interaction. The charity is urging those interested to start their New Year’s Resolutions early by joining the organization.
