New Season, New Rides: Exciting Jockey Changes in Eventing World

Ride For Thais Chaman Dumontceau, previously ridden by Stephane Landois, has now been transferred to young British rider Elizabeth Barratt after an emotional history with former pilot Thaïs Méheust. The pair has already achieved success together, winning an open novice at Tweseldown in March. Elizabeth has experience with established horses, having previously ridden Dargun and SAP Talisman.

Oliver Townend has started the 2025 season with a new partnership with Dromgurrihy Gold, previously ridden by Jonelle and Tim Price. The pair won the intermediate at Poplar Park and finished second in an open intermediate at Riseholme College Lincoln. Oliver plans to target securing a spring four-star long qualification with the nine-year-old son of Royal Concorde.

Kinda Corvette, an eight-year-old horse with advanced points, has been bought by The Sue Davies Fund for world champion Yasmin Ingham to ride. Bred by Kylie Roddy, the Diarado son has been previously owned by Luana Edge and ridden by Dani Evans. Yasmin has had two steady runs on Kinda Corvette and is excited to form a partnership with the horse for the upcoming season.
