Nevadan Makes History by Visiting Every Nevada State Park on Horseback

Samantha Szesciorka will make history as the first person to visit all 15 Nevada State Parks on horseback when she rides into Mormon Station State Park on May 3. She has completed the Nevada State Parks Passport challenge, earning stamps at 14 of the 15 state parks over multiple long distance treks since 2013.

The Nevada State Parks Passport challenge is available to everyone and rewards adventurers with a free annual pass to all Nevada State Parks upon completion. Samantha and her horse Sage have traveled over 2,150 miles across the state to earn their passport stamps, showcasing their dedication to exploring the Silver State on horseback.

Park staff invites the public to Mormon Station to witness Samantha and Sage receive their final passport stamp following the Western Heritage Days Parade. For more information about Samantha and Sage’s future plans, including a ride around Lake Tahoe, visit the Nevada Discovery Ride website.
