A family from Kerala narrowly escaped the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, thanks to a horse-riding accident that delayed their journey. Sudhas Kannoth, his wife Preethi, and son Mrinal had always dreamed of visiting Kashmir and had explored Sonamarg and Gulmarg before heading to Pahalgam.
While on a horseback ride in Pahalgam, Sudhas lost control of his horse and fell in the mud, forcing them to cut their trip short and head back to their hotel. As they arrived, they saw military vehicles speeding by and received a warning about the situation in Pahalgam, prompting them to leave immediately with the help of their driver.
The family narrowly avoided the deadly attack in Pahalgam by leaving quickly after the horse-riding accident. Sudhas expressed gratitude for the fortunate turn of events that allowed them to escape tragedy and emphasized the beauty of the region they had visited despite the close call.
