The Michigan Gaming Control Board has issued a cease-and-desist order to BetNow.eu, an offshore online casino operating illegally in the state. The site offers a variety of casino games and betting services for sports events and horse races, but violates Michigan law and exposes consumers to risks.
BetNow offers numerous payment options for player deposits, but players must wager their entire initial deposit before being able to withdraw any winnings. The site is in violation of several key state laws, including the Lawful Internet Gaming Act, Michigan Gaming Control and Revenue Act, and Michigan Penal Code.
BetNow has 14 days to cease offering gambling services to Michigan residents or face legal action. The MGCB encourages residents to only engage in online gaming with properly licensed sites and to report any unlicensed gambling operations for investigation. If anyone has a gambling problem, they can contact the National Problem Gambling Helpline for free and confidential help.
