Meet Frey: Horse Illustrated’s Right Horse Adoptable Horse of the Week

Frey, a 15-year-old Mustang gelding, is this week’s featured adoptable horse from Mustang Valley Sanctuary in West Fulton, N.Y. He is described as a gentle being with potential as a liberty and riding horse, already comfortable with basic training and expected to be a quick learner. Frey is looking for an experienced horse person to be his partner and is a favorite among volunteers at the sanctuary.

The ASPCA Right Horse program, an online adoption platform, is working to increase horse adoption in the United States by connecting potential adopters with horses in need of homes. The program is part of The Right Horse Initiative, which aims to improve the lives of horses in transition through the collaboration of industry professionals and advocates. Horse Illustrated is a magazine dedicated to providing advice on horse health, care, and training tips for both English and western disciplines. Each issue features articles for horse enthusiasts who are passionate about these animals. The Right Horse Adoptable Horse of the Week feature is offered in partnership with the ASPCA’s Right Horse program, highlighting horses like Frey who are in need of loving homes.
