The Man vs Horse race in Llanwrtyd Wells on June 14 will feature 650 individual runners, 450 relay team members, and 60 horse and rider pairs. The race, organized by Green Events, sold out quickly with all spots filled within hours of tickets going on sale.
Participants in the race expressed excitement and anticipation on social media, with some sharing their experiences and reasons for entering. Organizers have not yet announced the exact distance of this year’s race, but it is expected to be around 20-22 miles, similar to previous years.
New innovations for this year’s race include a cash prize for the first horse and rider to cross the finish line, as well as the elimination of cups at water stations, requiring competitors to bring their own hydration vessels. The event promises to be challenging and exciting for all involved.
