Nowzad launched an animal sponsorship program in January 2025 to support animals in crisis, focusing on dogs, cats, and donkeys in their Afghan rescue centers who may never find forever homes. The program directly benefits these animals, providing them with the care they need.

The sponsored animals include two donkeys, Charlie and Maqbola, from the sanctuary, as well as two dogs, Babri and Diesel, and a cat named Nazli from the hospital. The sponsorship program helps fund the only 24/7 emergency animal hospital in Afghanistan and the Donkey Sanctuary, providing essential care for rescued animals.

Sponsorship funds go directly to supporting the life-saving programs at Nowzad, in addition to caring for the sponsored animals. Sponsors receive a personalized certificate, photograph, and updates on their chosen rescue, along with surprise gifts. Those interested can sponsor an animal as a gift or choose from monthly or annual payment options.
