Lucy Metzler was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Flat Rider of the Week after a strong performance in competitions against South Carolina and Georgia. She earned team points in both the fences and flat categories, remaining unbeaten in the 2024-25 season. This is the fourth time Metzler has earned ODAC Rider of the Week honors.
Despite Metzler’s success, Lynchburg equestrian fell to South Carolina 2-8 and tied Georgia in team points over the weekend. Metzler’s impressive scores in the flat category helped Lynchburg in the competitions, but they ultimately fell in the raw score. Metzler’s performance was highlighted by an 86 in the Flat, the highest team score for Flat on the afternoon.
