A video surfaced online showing four men, known as the “cutthroat cowboys,” riding their “emotional support” horses through a Louisiana Walmart, leaving shocked shoppers and employees in their wake. The men were unfazed as they calmly trotted through the store, with onlookers reacting in disbelief and one employee suggesting calling the police.
The four horse riders, including Mason Webb, turned themselves in to the police and are facing charges for entering and remaining in the store after being forbidden. Webb claimed the stunt was harmless and done because he needed to bring his “emotional support animal” into the Walmart store. The riders face potential penalties of fines up to $500, a maximum prison sentence of six months, or both for their actions.
The incident went viral on social media, with Webb stating that they did not intend to hurt anyone and that they were simply having fun. The riders face charges for disturbing the peace as well, which could result in a maximum sentence of 90 days in prison or a fine of $100.
