Locked Fires Bullet in Second Work Since Pegasus World Cup Invitational

Locked, a Grade 1 winner, had a strong workout at Palm Beach Downs, clocking the fastest time of six at the distance. Trained by Todd Pletcher, Locked placed second in the Pegasus World Cup Invitational and has been performing well since his return in October after a layoff. He has shown consistent form in recent races, including a victory in the Cigar Mile.

Several other graded-stakes winners also had workouts on Friday, including Major Dude, Newgrange, Skippylongstocking, Public Sector, Grand Sonata, Neat, Sparkle Blue, Pounce, Abientot, Anglophile, Antiquarian, Bold Journey, Boppy O, Cairo Consort, Dashman, Duke of Love, Liberal Arts, Life’s an Audible, Raqiya, Scalable, Skinner, Speed King, and Tejano Twist. These horses are preparing for upcoming races and showed varying levels of performance in their workouts.

In addition to Friday’s workouts, previous days saw graded-stakes winners like Howbeit, Skelly, Kopion, Trikari, Gun Song, Seal Team, Durante, Forever After All, and Ice Chocolat also putting in strong efforts in their workouts. These workouts are crucial for these horses as they prepare for their next races and aim to maintain their competitive edge in the racing world.
