Former USEF Eventing Development Coach Leslie Law has been appointed as the Chef d’Equipe and High Performance Manager for the Defender U.S. Eventing Team, with Karyn Shuter taking on the role of U.S. Eventing High Performance Advisor. Both will begin their roles immediately, with Law bringing a thorough understanding of the eventing programs and pathway to his new position.

Law, an individual Olympic gold and team silver medalist, has been involved with the USEF eventing programs for over a decade and is confident in the talent and ability of the U.S. team. The appointments of Law and Shuter have been met with enthusiasm from athletes and stakeholders, with a focus on building sustained success and a culture of excellence leading into the LA 2028 Games and beyond. Christina Vaughn will transition into the role of USEF Eventing Elite Program Director and Team Leader, working with Law and Shuter to further develop the high performance programs.
