Kimblewick Equestrian Centre, run by Nikkita Gostling for over 15 years, has expanded to allow more people to take up horse riding. The new arena was needed to reduce waiting lists and open up spaces for children and horse owners.
Nikkita is passionate about getting people to ride horses, especially as many riding schools have been closing down. The completion of the new arena was slightly ahead of schedule, but it was challenging to continue lessons during the construction and get the horses used to the machinery.
The new arena is currently being tested and is expected to open to the public by April 1. Improvements were also made to the seating area and car parking facilities, leading to a slightly higher budget than originally planned.
