Kerri Radcliffe Signs for Top Colts at Record-Breaking OBS Spring Sale

Kerri Radcliffe purchased two top colts on behalf of Memo Racing at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Spring Sale of 2-Year-Olds in Training, including the current sale topper, a Gun Runner colt. The colt was bred in Kentucky by Capital Bloodstock and consigned by S G V Thoroughbreds, agent. Radcliffe praised the colt’s physical attributes and performance during the under tack show.

The colts were bought for Memo Racing, an American-based partnership. Radcliffe mentioned they are looking to add more horses to their stable and plan to attend upcoming sales in Maryland and France. The Nyquist colt, Hip 378, was also purchased by Radcliffe for $1.05 million, showing strong interest in both colts and fillies.

The second day of the OBS Spring sale ended with a record-breaking seven horses selling for $1 million or more, with a total of 164 horses changing hands for $26,128,500. The average price was $159,320, with colts being in high demand. The sale saw a 20.8% RNA rate, with King’s Equine leading the consignors and Mahmud Mouni as the leading buyer.
