Jennifer Gates and her husband Nayel Nassar’s daughter Leila, 2, recently made her first laps around the international ring at Evergate Stables, owned by the couple. The proud parents shared photos and videos of the milestone on Instagram, with Leila riding her horse Beanie in the Leadline class.

This achievement comes after Gates and Nassar celebrated Leila’s second birthday last month with a post on Instagram showing the toddler interacting with horses. Gates reflected on her own childhood with horses, mentioning how special it is that Leila gets to learn from the same pony that taught her how to ride.

In addition to Leila, Gates and Nassar are also parents to a 4-month-old daughter named Mia. The couple announced Mia’s birth on Instagram, sharing a photo of the newborn in her nursery as Leila looked on. Gates revealed that Mia was born on their third wedding anniversary, calling her the best gift they could have asked for.
