The International Horse and Cattle Show 2025 concluded with the final matches of the International Tent Pegging Friendship Tournament, where Pakistan secured first place, Egypt came in second, Saudi Arabia in third, and South Africa in fourth. The tournament featured teams from various countries, including South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Russia, Qatar, Kuwait, the USA, Norway, and Pakistan, with riders displaying exceptional skills in horseback riding and spear-throwing. Trophies and medals were awarded to the winning teams’ horse riders and archers.
In the National Tent Pegging competition at Fortress Stadium, 60 teams and 260 riders participated in the single-line event on the first day, with winners including Mehr Imran Haider Barbahna, Riaz Asif Bhola Kharal, Malik Ali Hassan Wato, and Khowadr Tent Pegging Club. The second day featured the single-line spear-throwing event, with winners such as Mehr Asrar Ahmad Nargana, Ali Babar Alpa, Riaz Aftab Maunika, and Ch. Chan Mahmood. On the third day, winners of the four competitions included Ch. Sani Khan Ranjha Kharal Club, Ch. Munawar Abbas Khokhar Show Line Club Lahore, and Ch. Jawad Arshad Butt, Al-Hafeez Malik Jhelum Club.
Over one crore rupees in cash prizes and rewards were distributed among the teams participating in the National Tent Pegging competition, with the first-place team receiving five lakh rupees, second place receiving two lakh rupees, and third place receiving two lakh rupees, along with trophies, shields, and cash prizes. The Chief Guest, Bilal Yaseen, Minister of Housing and Urban Development Punjab, and Ghazali Saleem Butt, Chairman of PHA Lahore, presented the prizes to the winning teams and praised the players’ enthusiasm.
