Jenna Arbuckle, a 22-year-old equine massage therapist, founded Equine Equilibrium to provide racehorses with a non-invasive, all-natural treatment combining equine massage with salt therapy. Her goal is to expand knowledge of salt therapy in the equine community and potentially implement it into veterinary practices.
Arbuckle’s focus on enhancing the quality of life for racehorses stems from her personal experience with asthma and the importance of respiratory health for horses. She believes that salt therapy can help clear mucus from horses’ lungs, improving their breathing and overall performance.
In addition to running her business, Arbuckle works as a Standardbred groom and finds it rewarding to connect with and care for the horses. She appreciates the unique personalities of racehorses and the bond that forms between them and their caretakers.
