The Thoroughbred Owners of California (TOC) has awarded the Ed Friendly Industry Service Award to Kosta, Stephanie, and Pete Hronis of Hronis Racing for their outstanding contributions to the Thoroughbred racing industry. The Hronis family has been recognized for their success as top-tier owners and philanthropists, leading all California owners in wins in 2024.

Founded in 1945 by their father, Hronis Farms has thrived under Pete and Kosta’s leadership, becoming an industry leader in sustainable farming. Despite challenges in central California’s agricultural landscape, the family business focuses on water conservation, soil health, emissions reduction, and social responsibility.

Stephanie Hronis, a member of the TOC Board, has been instrumental in positive change within the industry. She co-founded the Horse Racing Women’s Summit, now the Horse Racing Women’s Association, dedicated to empowering women in racing. The Hronis family’s commitment to California horse racing, compassion for equine athletes, and contributions on and off the track continue to elevate the sport.
